Critical Disability Studies + Public History was originally founded by Dr. Gail Dubrow at the University of Minnesota as a venue for learning about the intersection points of these two academic fields.
Learning in collaboration was always at the heart of the project, and CDS + PH now involves a partnership between the Architecture and Heritage Studies and Public History departments and the Critical Disabilities Studies Collective at the University of Minnesota and the Architecture and Disability Studies departments at the University of Oregon.
CDS + PH looks forward to welcoming more institutions and organizations into collaborative, equitable partnership in the future.
